To participate in the Supplier Diversity Program, businesses must be certified by recognized organizations such as the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC), and the US Business Leadership Network (Disability)​ (Cox Enterprises).​​
